Bronze Award 2026 - Key Dates

Outlined below are a few key dates for your calendars. If for whatever reason any dates change, we will let you know with as much advanced notice as possible. If for any reason your child is unable to attend any of the following dates please do let me know and we will find a way for them to achieve the award through external services if needed.

In School Expedition Training – Thursday 7th May 2026

Students will be off timetable for the whole day to complete training in navigation, map skills, first aid, camp craft, using stoves safely and how to put up the tents. More details will follow closer to the date.

Below is dates of the two weekends for the expeditions. We have had to change some of the areas/campsite planned due to availability. These dates students will need to be dropped off and picked up from either the campsite of an area near by (TBC once routes have been made) if you know there will be an issue with drop off, pick up or both please could you let us know so we can start to arrange alternative transportation for anyone who needs it.

Practice Expedition –

Friday 15th – Saturday 16th of May 2026 Wymondley wood scout and guide centre.

Assessed Expedition –

Friday 10th – Saturday 11th of July 2026 Phasels wood activity centre/ scout camp.
